1. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (July 15)
With
Johnny Depp starring as Willy Wonka and his Finding Neverland co-star Freddie Highmore as the titular Charlie in the remake of the 1971 classic, you pretty much can't go wrong. Plus, there's Oompa-Loompas and director Tim Burton (The Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands).
2. Chicken Little (November 4)
Garden State mastermind and star Zach Braff gives a voice to our favorite pessimistic children's story anti-hero.
3. Walk the Line (November 18)
Continuing the string of 2004 biopics,
Ladder 49's Joaquin Phoenix stars as the legendary "Man in Black," Johnny Cash.
4. Sin City (April 1)
Robert Rodriguez (the El Mariachi trilogy) and comic book mastermind Frank Miller team up to direct a wild, splashy story with an all-star cast, including Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, Jessica Alba, Alexis Bledel, Elijah Wood, Rosario Dawson, Michael Madsen, Josh Hartnett, Maria Bello, Michael Clarke Duncan, Clive Owen, Brittany Murphy and Mickey Rourke.
5. Fever Pitch (April 8)
Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore star in the story about a man obsessed with baseball, based on a British film, starring Colin Firth, about a man obsessed with soccer.
6. King Kong (December 14)
Lord of the Rings' Peter Jackson directs the remake of the 1933 classic. Naomi Watts, Adrien Brody and Jack Black star.
7. The Producers (December 21)
Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane star in the film adaptation of their hit Broadway musical.
8. Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (May 19)
The final chapter of the
Star Wars saga, unless mastermind George Lucas decides to do Episodes 7, 8 and 9. Hayden Christensen, Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor star.
9. Cinderella Man (June 3)
Another pair of Hollywood stars,
Russell Crowe and Renee Zellweger, co-star in this real life drama of an aging fighter.
10. Batman Begins (June 17)
American Psycho Christian Bale plays the batty one, while Michael Caine plays the Alfred character. Morgan Freeman also co-stars.
