Cameron Diaz, Alanis Morissette and other celeb clients of disgraced money manager Dana Giacchetto have agreed to repay funds he illegally diverted to them, according to the Smoking Gun. Giacchetto moved funds from his regular clients into the accounts of his A-list clientele, claiming they were investment gains. Trustees of actor Burt Lancaster's estate filed suit against MGM August 19, claiming the studio failed to pay $2 million in profits from 1996 to 2001 for the distribution of his films, including The Birdman of Alcatraz. Ray Yodlowsky, a children's musician who goes by Mr. Ray, is suing Disney and Pixar for infringing on his trademark, claiming the character of Mr. Ray, the Manta Ray in Finding Nemo, is causing confusion among his fans.

Chris Martin, Coldplay's frontman, allegedly clashed with a photographer who snapped pics of the singer surfing. The musician's been ordered to appear in Australian court to answer an allegation of malicious damage after the shutterbug's winshield was broken and tires deflated.
On July 18, it was announced that William Shatner and his ex have reached a settlement over breeding privileges to his three American saddle-bred stallions. The former Mrs. Shatner had sued in April when she received frozen semen from her ex instead of the "fresh cooled format" desired from the horses for breeding purposes.
The stripper who the National Enquirer reported had sex with Ben Affleck is now suing the tabloid, claiming the story was made up by a rival dancer. Affleck's publicist has previously said the actor himself was considering a lawsuit against the Enquirer. The tabloid says it stands by its story.
A Malibu, California, judge says Nick Nolte did not violate his probation. The judge ruled July 18 that there was no evidence to support an anonymous tip that the actor was drinking and driving this June.

Michael Jackson says he's appalled by efforts in congress to make it a federal felony to download even one single copyrighted work, including music. "I am speechless about the idea of putting music fans in jail for downloading music," said the one-time King of Pop. "It is wrong to illegally download, but the answer cannot be in jail."

Mystikal has pled guilty to charges of extortion and sexual battery stemming from an attack on his hairstylist last year. The Grammy-nominated rapper was sentenced to five years' probation on the extortion charge. Sentencing on the sexual battery count will not come until September. In its bid to go after individual online song swappers, the music industry has obtained upwards of 900 federal subpoenas, with 75 more being approved each day, the Associated Press reports. A British children's author is suing DreamWorks for millions of dollars in damages, claiming the studio and animators Peter Lord and Nick Park swiped his children's tale Escape from Cold Ditch and used it as the basis for their big-screen stop-motion hit Chicken Run.
Author Jeffrey Archer was released from prison July 21 after serving two years and two days of a four-year sentence for perjury. Archer was convicted of lying during a libel case against the Daily Star newspaper.

Bobby Brown was sprung from an Atlanta-area jail August 29, but only after a judge fined him about $1,400 stemming from a November 2002 traffic stop. Brown was fined for speeding and the possession of marijuana. A federal appeals court has thrown out Star Trek: Deep Space Nine actress Chase Masterson's (Leeta) lawsuit against Matchmaker.com. The actress sued the dating service after a bogus personal ad featuring her photo and phone number ran on the site.
