Probably the worst rip-off in the history of Calvin and Hobbes, I drew this 4-page doozy in August of 1996, when my drawing skills were even lower that the shitty standards that you�re all used to seeing. A few questions come to mind�Where does Kalvin get his hand gun? Where is Kalvin�s mask when he goes to get his steroids? And why does Kalvin get so buffed up after taking steroids and walking out of the store? And why did Kalvin chop off Hobbes' tail? These questions are all very interesting. I decided to bring up the whole mystique of Calvin and Hobbes, of how Calvin�s imagination brings his stuffed tiger to life. Of course, Kalvin doesn�t respond to this reality of Hobbes not being real very well. Highlights of this comic include Kalvin�s dad going to school early and bribing the school bully Moe to beat up Kalvin, hence, the suspicious circumstance of lots of birthday cake at breakfast for Kalvin. And this comic wraps up, with the anti-nature comments and a rather vengeful retort of Hobbes, where Kalvin chops his tail off with an axe. His mother, pissed off as usual, this comic ends with Kalvin getting cramps and mysteriously seems to be approaching his mother with the axe in hand. What was to become of this? Who knows.
