Writing

All stories have a beginning, middle, and end.  The story is incomplete without these elements!

To start writing a story, first brainstorm a list of ideas.
Next, sequence your ideas...

Beginning
   Describes who is involved
Describes the setting (where the event takes place)
   Describes the problem

Middle
Describes what happened (Sequence of events)

End
Describes how the conflict is resolved

Write a rough draft.

Edit:
Read it aloud to a friend.  Make sure that you did not skip any words.  Ask your friend if they could picture your story or if they have any questions.  Add more details.
Check for spelling and punctuation.

Publish:
Type your story on the computer.  Make a cover and title page.  Print it out.  Put your story together.

Illustrate your story:
(Draw the pictures)

Make sure that your illustrations match the text (words) in your story.

Share your story with your family and friends!
GOOD WORK!
