There are books there, you know. That's the best place to start your search.
Use the Internet second, not first.
2. Places on the Internet to search
for poetry by theme: Note: These will open up a new window, so you can search
around, and then come right back to this page.
Find
Poetry searches the whole Internet at once to find poetry.
Type in a key word and see what happens...or, click on one of their
categories.
The Poetry Portal asks if you like your
poetry "Quick and Slick" or "Arty". Under either
category, click Poems By Category, and you can
select from a long list of themes, from "addiction" to
"youth".
The
Poetry Archive contains classical poetry. Type a word into
the search box.
Poetry On-Line has a way to search by key
word. It's not the same as searching a category or theme, but give it a try.
