I believe our line of Cooper's came to Louisiana about 1812...I believe they came from Georgia and South Carolina before that.  I also believe they stayed in the Mississippi Territory between 1790 and 1812, settling around Natchez, Adams County.

Our direct line goes from Henry Sr. to his son William to Samuel to Varner Benton Cooper to Varner Nicholas Cooper, who was called Mingo.  Mingo and Carrie Elizabeth Rushing Cooper had eleven children who reached adulthood, one being my Grandmother.
