someone in the family did this research...it was passed down to me, but i can't claim it as my own...

In 1850 census of the "City of Baton Rouge", Theodule Henry was listed age 9, along with John Henry (2), Artamen Henry (23), Mary Daigle (39), Mary Andri (59), Thypauline Daigle(15), and Odele Lauret, (3).  Ten years later, Theodule Henry was listed in Ascension Parish (19).  Mary A. Daigle Henry, his mother, had married Frank White and was also living in Ascension Parish.  They had three children:  Rufus...who had 11 children  Isabelle...who married a LeBlance and had 1 child  Athalie...who married Enos Fife and had 2 sons  Others listed in 1850 census were not found in Ascension Parish 1860. 
Theodule's Civil War record showss he was a private, CO. K, in Ogden's La. Cavalry.  Listed as "prisoner of war" and paroled at Gainsville, Alabama on May 12, 1865.  He was wounded and "nursed" by Telcide Duplessis, (sister of Antoinne Duplessis), whom he married.  He was listed as one of the early settlers of Prairieville. 
"Todile" was remembered as blue eyed and had a long white beard.  He lived on property near Airline Highway, farmed land around "BABE BROUSSARD's" place.  Theodule and Telcide had 6 children:(NOTE: seven are listed here...???)

3.  John Joseph...married Delia Blunt, daughter of William Blunt and Mary Lena (Decoteau) Blunt 
4. Dena...married Rivers Freeman 
5.  William...married Mary Amelia Blunt, sister of Delia Blunt 
6.  Toad...4 children 
7.  Telcide...6 children
John Joseph Henry was known as "Josie".  He was known as a serious hunter,  but never hunted on Sunday, or outlawed, except for shooting the occasional gro-bek.  Remembered by Mrs. Mary and Mrs Clara Henry as having brown eyes.  He married Delia Blunt on April 9, 1891.  He would butcher a calf once a week and sell the meat from a wagon.  He lived on the land now owned by Wilson Henry.  They had six children: 
1.  Emilina...married Alfred Duplessis, grandson of Antoinne Duplessis
2.  Leonce Joseph...married Mary Bennett  3.  Thelma...married Davis Braud
4.  Felix Joseph...married Mary Bennett...died of flu at age 21 
5.  Mary Amelia...married John Ryan  6.  Wilson...married Bessie Braud...sister of above Davis Braud  After Felix Henry's death, Mary Bennett married Leonce Joseph "TUK" Henry.  She had a daughter, Ruth, by Felix. 
Mary and Tuk had 6 children.  Mary Bennett's father was Dupry Bennett and her mother was "Nancy" who had very long red hair, worn in a long braid wrapped around her head
. Mary Bennett was named for her father's sister Mary, who married Raby Kinchen(who had a son Dupry Raby Kinchen, named after Dupry Bennett)
