Algebraic Thinking II
MAY 2004
As the year draws to a close, we have three main topics left to cover in the Algebraic Thinking II book. We will cover 2D-Geometry, followed by a unit on graphing in the coordinate plane. We will conclude the year with 3D-Geometry.
PORTFOLIOS
We will also be compiling portfolios from the problem-of-the-week assignements that we have had throughout the year. Students will be required to bring this home, review it with you, have you sign it, and bring the portfolio back.
Materials
Students will continue to need to bring the following items with them in class everyday: planner, textbook, coil notebook, pencil
Openers
In an attempt to meet the No Child Left Behind iniciative, we have been doing openers on specific math skills at the beginning of class everyday. This will continue for the remainder of the year.
