1. Oxytocin: hypothalamus (posterior pituitary gland). stimulates uterine contractions, stimulates milk ejection.

2. Vasopressin (ADH: antidiuretic hormone): hypothalamus (posterior pituitary gland). controls water excretion.

3. Follicle stimulating hormone (FSH): anterior pituitary gland. stimulates ovarian follicles; stimulates spermatogenesis.

4. Luteinizing hormone (LH): anterior pituitary gland. stimulates ovulation, formation of corpus luteum; stimulates interstitial cells.

5. Prolactin: anterior pituitary gland. stimulates milk production.

6. Glucagon: pancreas. raises blood sugar levels.

7. Norepinephrine (noradrenaline): adrenal medulla. increases blood sugar; dilates or constricts blood vessels.

8. Epinephrine (adrenaline): adrenal medulla. increases heart rate; dilates or constricts blood vessels.

9. Insulin: pancreas. lowers blood sugar levels.

10. Parathyroid hormone: parathyroid. stimulates release of calcium.

11. Thyroxine: thyroid. stimulates and maintains metabolic activities.
