VOCAL MAJORS PAGE
Students will prepare themselves for college through the vocal program by singing diverse repertoire from different cultures, languages, time periods, and genres. They will learn about the history of music and composers and how to analyze a piece through chord structure, form and instrumentation.  Students will be expected to sing solos four times a year in class including: Broadway, Italian arias, French and German art songs.  They will also sight-sing every day using the solfeggio system (Do, re, mi) and study musical terms weekly.  Students will evaluate their own performances as well as their peers through the use of video-taped sessions in class and concerts.
