Notice the formerly ornamental hood scoop that my dad and I made into an actual air inlet with the help of our trusty little dremel tool and some metal cutting discs.

The Engine I put in it

Sure, it ain't the prettiest thing in the world, but it is loud as hell and strong as an ox.
Here is a list of what I have put under the hood so far:
-Edelbrock Victor Jr. Intake Manifold -World Castings' Sportsman II Cylinder hheads
-Hooker Headers
-Scat Cast Steel crankshaft, 3.75" Strokke, Cylinder block bored +0.030 => 383 cu. in.
-New Eagle 5.7 inch connecting rods
-Federal Mogul 383 conversion flat top ppistons
-Comp Cams 270H, 110 LCA camshaft
-Crane Cams roller rocker arms

I don't yet have the 4" tall, 14" Diameter drop base K&N Air filter on top of that Quadrajet yet because I haven't figured out a clearance problem - that is, with that extra-tall intake manifold and the 1" adapter plate holding the carburetor to it, that huge air filter won't fit. Part of the reason why we opened up that hood scoop was to give some extra clearance, because even that tiny little foam filter wouldn't fit under the hood originally. It is just a stopgap measure, though, and eventually I will find some way to get that huge K&N on there so my engine can breathe!
