Jesus gave us a hint that the wolves were to enter the flock of sheep and scatter them:

(John 10:12 KJV)  But he that is an hireling, and not the shepherd, whose own the sheep are not, seeth the wolf coming, and leaveth the sheep, and fleeth: and the wolf catcheth them, and scattereth the sheep.

Paul warned about the wolves that were to come in among the church and not spare the flock.  Even those appointed shepherds would lead people astray.  Paul with tears ceased not to warn every day for THREE years!

Acts 20:
28  Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood.
29  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
30  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
31  Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

The next thing Paul says is that he hasn't coveted anything...indicating that the wolves will covet.

33  I have coveted no man's silver, or gold, or apparel.
34  Yea, ye yourselves know, that these hands have ministered unto my necessities, and to them that were with me
.

The wolves seek to make merchandise of the flock:

(2 Pet 2:3 KJV)  And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.

Wicked church leaders teach for money:

(Micah 3:11 KJV)  The heads thereof judge for reward, and the priests thereof teach for hire, and the prophets thereof divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us.
3:12Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of the forest.

The bad shepherds boast they are rich:

(Zec 11:4 KJV)  Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;
11:5  Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say,
Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.

They sell their merchandise to the people of God:

(Lam 5:4 KJV)  We have drunken our water for money; our wood is sold unto us.

The whole book of Jude is about the people that were going to enter into the church:

(Jude 1:4 KJV)  For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ.

They are church leaders and their followers who follow after their own lusts:

(Jude 1:16 KJV)  These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men's persons in admiration because of advantage.

Many follow after their ways by whom the way of truth is spoken evil of....we can hear the world today doing this because of their hypocritical ways.

(2 Pet 2:1 KJV)  But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
2:2
And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.

The false prophets (the servants of the king of Assyria) and their followers  blaspheme the name of God...people speak evil of the church because of their ways.

(Isa 37:6 KJV)  And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

The enemy is in the church and is blaspheming the name of God:

(Psa 74:18 KJV)  Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed thy name.

The people of God who lament about this situation know that we are powerless to change it (the  poor of the congregation)....it is up to God  to act...to bring the morning...because darkness has ruled.

19  O deliver not the soul of thy turtledove unto the multitude of the wicked: forget not the congregation of thy poor for ever.
20  Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.

We are to WAIT on the Lord.  God is jealous for his flock.

(Zep 3:8 KJV)  Therefore
wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.

Wait on the Lord for  his salvation from the enemy....the church has sat in darkness...but the Lord will be a light to those who wait for Him.

Micah 7:
7  Therefore I will look unto the LORD;
I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
8  Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

We should QUIETLY WAIT for his salvation:

(Lam 3:26 KJV)  It is good that a man should both hope and quietly wait for the salvation of the LORD.

Our God is jealous for his holy name that is being blasphemed because of the enemy. God will graft the Jews (Jacob)  back into the living vine  and he will have mercy upon the Jews and those who repent of the Christian church (WHOLE house of Israel).

(Ezek 39:25 KJV)  Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name;

All Israel will be saved....those who repent of the Jews and Christians.  Ungodliness will be turned away from the Jews (Jacob).  The Jews are considered "Jacob" because they have not received the Spirit of God yet.....Jacob was renamed to "Israel"....showing a conversion.

(Rom 11:26 KJV)  And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
