| I started tattooing in October of '01. Before that I apprenticed with Richard Moore at Back Roads Tattoo in Russellville, Arkansas for nearly two years. Lots of floor mopping, bathroom cleaning, tube scrubbing and appointment scheduling. I learned a lot about the life behind the curtain, as it were, for tattooists. For every tattoo that is put on there is a LOT of work done before the client even walks through the door. Over the years my skill level has progressed, I am still trying to get to where I am satisfied with my work, but that probably won't ever happen. I have made a few friends through this craft, friends that I met on tattoo artist message boards and that have helped me a lot along the way. The really crazy thing is I have never met any of these people face to face but thanks to the modern marvel the internet I feel I have gotten to know some of these guys pretty well.
