You are all cordially invited to a cybershower
celebrating me!
Why am I throwing myself a cybershower you ask? Well it's simple. I'm single,
never married (probably never will be married) and childless. I'm surrounded
by family and friends, almost all of whom are married and reproducing at a
fast rate.
I've spent the last decade and a half buying them presents for everything
imaginable: bridal showers, wedding gifts, baby showers, baby gifts,
christening gifts and now I even buy yearly birthday and Christmas presents
for their offspring.
Don't get me wrong, I love them all and I'm happy to give, but just like
Carrie Bradshaw pointed out on Sex and the City, it's really not fair.
I give and give and give, and give again. I've never asked for anything in
return from any of them, and believe me, they've never offered. So upon
receiving yet another toddler birthday invite and having a good look at my
ever increasing debtload (it's not always easy making ends meet when there's
only one income) I decided that I'd ask the wonderful world of the internet
to give something to me. Welcome to my cybershower.
Now, realistically I know that I'm not likely to receive anything other than
a couple of dollars, but I figure you don't get anything if you never ask.
If you'd like to contribute, you can do so via Paypal.
[email protected] is the address. Any amount, no matter how small will
be received with a smile.
