The A-teens History
Autumn 1998 - Stockholm Records decide to create teen-band for covering ABBA songs.They select four teenagers in Lasse Kuhler's dance school.
March 27th 1999 - first ABBA Teens video "Mamma Mia" recorded.Record lasts for 18 hours.Director - Henrik Sylven.
May 10th 1999 - first single "Mamma Mia" realised in Sweden.
May 22nd 1999 - first concert in ABBA Teens history taken place in Vasteras (central Sweden) as the beginning of summer Sweden tour.First permormed song was "Take a chance on me".
June 1999 - Benny Andersson, one of ex-members of ABBA, ask ABBA Teens to change the name of the group and stop use ABBA stuff too much.
July 1999 - ABBA Teens became A-teens.
July 1999 -  video "Super Trouper" premiere in Sweden. Director - Sebastian Reed.
August 2nd 1999 - second single "Super Trouper" realised in Sweden.
August 23rd 1999 - A-teens open Whitney Houston concert in Poland.
August 25th 1999 - realise of "The ABBA Generation" album in Sweden
Summer 1999 - a band put a great efforts on promotion visiting United Kingdom, Norway, Finland, Netherlands, Belgium with some live performances and a lot of interviews.
September 4th 1999 - concert in Stockholm ending summer Sweden tour.
September 1999 - first time in USA. A-teens and danish pop group AQUA gives performances in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
October 25th 1999 - On 14 Sara's birthday, third single "Gimme Gimme Gimme" realise in Sweden.Video was filmed in September, in Stockholm. Director - Sebastian Reed.
October 1999 - USA promtion begins. A-teens visited Spain and Japan.
November-December 1999 - A-teens made 5 performances in USA accompanying *NSYNC.
December 1999 - 4th single "Happy New Year" realise in Sweden. This song was recorded in October and is the last ABBA-cover of the band and also a first song where Amit and Dhani sings a lot.
December 1999 - "Mamma Mia" single first time realise in USA.
December 1999 - Swedish TV show showed a documentary  "A-teens - the dream which became reality"
January-February 2000 - a tour in Germany with artist Oli P.
February 14-29th 2000 - South American tour: Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Venezuela, Mexico.
April 2000 - short promotion tour in USA.
April 14th 2000 - The Disney Chanel show a worldpremiere of "Dancing Queen" video.It was filmed in Los Angeles, in March (direktor - Patrick Kiely).
April 25th 2000 - Dhani break his left leg during performance.He is enable for 6 weeks. It is a big loss for the band, so after 2 more shows they had to cancel others and their June's European tour.
May 16th 2000 - realise of "The ABBA Generation" in USA.
July-August 2000 - A-teens support Britney Spears at her "Oops I did it again" tour in USA.
August 15th-September 2000 - A-teens continue American tourney now on Nickelodeon tour together with B*Withced, Blaque, LFO.
September 28th 2000 - on Worlds Expo in Hannover A-teens receive German TV-channel Viva Comet 2000 Award as "The best International Newcorners".
Autumn 2000 - it is official announced that A-teens stop to cover ABBA songs and begin to do own stuff.
October 2000 - video "Upside down" record in USA (director - Patrick Kiely). The most expensive Sweden music video of all times.
November 20th 2000 - single "Upside down" realise in Sweden.Their first own song.
December 12th 2000 - single "Upside down" realise in USA with exchange title "Bouncing off the ceiling".
End of 2000 - A-teens song "Dancing Queen" became one of soundtracks to "Miss Congeniality" movie with Sandra Bullock.
