Mistaken Identity is an organization that was created for the sole purpose of extending to its members an opportunity to find their own Comfort Zone.

It was established as a network tool to introduce positive, independent, self-loving African American Women to others who have been subjected to the "theory" of not being Black enough.

MID serves as a convenient place for African American Women to come together to better themselves and the lives of others through a variety of social activities and volunteer projects.
