Download the .zip file. It contains the vb source code and all project forms. Unzip the files to a folder. Start the PL SQL 8 (po8) command prompt and open the database. There's a file named bank.sql among those you downloaded. Open bank.sql in notepad select the text and copy it onto the po8 command prompt to create the necessary tables and users. This'll create a user admn with password jba. Now load the projectfile(bankproject.vbp) in VB6 and run . Enter username admn and password jba. You'll be presenetd with all the provisions for the bank administrator. This section of the project is almost complete. After creating managers(new employee) and operators you can log onto the database as manager or operator and you'll be given the corresponding options...though these sections are incomplete. There will be some problem when you try to connect for the first time. Try different conncetion strings for the Conncet subroutine in the gereal module file. To get different connection strings you can use the Visual data manager, Dataform Wizard, or you can put the ADO datacontrol onto the form and get the conection string . |
