1.0               Introduction

           

1.1  Aim

 

The aim of this report is to compare and evaluate the several brands of multi-split air-conditioner systems, that produce by the different manufacturer that are available in the  Singapore’s market and also to recommend the most suitable air-conditioner system for the condominium project.

 

 

1.2  Background

 

According to request, the propose multi-split air-conditioner system must be able to provide sufficient cool air to cover an area of 150sq metres. The rooms in the flat include the living room, dining area, three bedrooms, a kitchen and a utility room. The system enable to be energy saving and able user-friendly features.  Beside that, the appearance of the units and remote control facility will also be weighting.  For the maintainance and service, we already prepare a service contract for 3 years after the system install.

           

 

1.3  Methodology

 

The information and data which used for prepare this report was obtained through the world wide web, research on products manufacturer, products brochures, and reference books. In addition, a survey was conducted among a group of 20 air-conditioners user, who live in 4-room flat, 5-room flat and condominium currently, with base on their opinions and preferred choice of the multi-split air-conditioner system.

 

 

1.4  Scope

 

This report is to compare and investigates the properties of several brands of multi-split air-conditioner systems, in terms of price, energy saving, user-friendly, system power, easy of installation, quiet of fan and compressor, feature of the system and the maintainance of the system. For the result of the survey conducted on the among a group people preferences will also be examines. a study of several brands of multi-split air-conditioner system of its evaluate features such as the evaporator, condenser, compressor, coil and design, timer and thermostat.
