the message that i recieved from jenna and I must say. I dont
deal with this stuff. Shortie since you have chosen to be a
theif As you Patron I will say GOODBYE.
First I
must apologize for bringing this to you, however due to the
nature of this matter I felt it was better to inform you of
this situation.
A little over a week ago now I sold
240 singularity keys via Ebay to a member of Gullum. His
ingame name is Vapors who I believe goes as Shortie here. A
few hours after the keys had been delivered Vapors reported to
paypal that his account had been compromised and requested all
recent transactions be reversed. Paypal did exactly that so I
found myself down 240 keys. I waited for Paypal to sort this
matter out but they found in favour of Vapors and honoured the
reversal.
I then waited to contact Vapors ingame,
speaking once very briefly to his patron Robouta when I could
not contact him. I finally found Vapors ingame and asked him
why he reversed the payment and if I could expect my keys to
be returned. I was totally ignored until I commented that I
would contact his patron/monarch to see what they thought of
the situation. (I have not seen either again IG unfortunately)
After that he commented on my general lack of knowledge and
then logged out.
Now, a friend of mine in RL was also
scammed by this person, losing more than me in exactly the
same circumstances. My friend delivered the keys to Vapors
using Tradebots fixed trade function. His monarch made contact
with the owner of the Vapors account and was informed that a
'friend' of Vapors had commited this fraud and used the Vapors
account to make the pickup of the keys. Vapors then apparently
dual logged to his 'friends' account to return the keys. He
found only 1 keyring with 24 keys and promptly returned them
to my RL friend via his bot. The interesting thing about this
was that he knew exactly which bot to return the keys to
without having been told. This leads me to believe that Vapors
and his 'friend' are one in the same.
This 'friend'
then apparently used the keys to purchase a villa.
I
feel you should know about this persons actions and the kind
of person you have in your monarchy. If you have any questions
regarding what happened please don't hesitate to contact me.
My ingame name is Jenna Moonblade. I also have screenshots of
all conversations with Vapors including initial delivery of
the keys.

I have just spoken to Vapors ingame again, he informed
me that he tried his best to recover items for us but their
was only 1 ring on his friends account and he gave that to my
fellow victim. I then asked if he was willing to sign an
affidavit to the effect that his friend was the one who
commited the fraud. He agreed but then stated that we could
not prove anything so it wouldn't help. He then logged yet
again.
I have screens of this conversation also.

discusting. I am ashamed to call you my friend. I know that on
paypal you are the only one that can reverse charges. I had it
happen in another game. I dont like this but I am sorry I am
no longer you patron.

Not your fault Myrva.  We were all duped. He made the decisions and is
totally responsible for his actions.
He will have fun trying to find a new home/guild. And I'm
sure he'll have fun trying to get into fellows and help with
corpse recoveries.
So Myrva, my advice is hold your head high, and keep being
silly. He's NO reflection on you.

this sh**! I hate it for Myrva, I hate it for the peeps that
got scammed and I hate that it might reflect on our monarchy.
AND it is in no way your fault, silly Myrva! You are
somewhat of a victim in this also. How could you or anyone
know he would "go bad"? So don't apologize for being his
patron; we will all possibly have to apologize for having him
in our clan but we all know you or we are in no way
responsible. It is a built in danger with the
patron/vassel/allegiance system. As soon as he was revealed
you cut him loose; thats all anyone could do and more than
some we have known and/or heard of.
This is one more
reason I have never went the vassel route. I got scammed out
of some armor early on a coupla times early in my AC career
and decided I could live without 'em. And I have! I may not be
lvl 100+ as I might have been but my headache level is not as
high either!
Shortie, I didn't know you very long ( too long I guess
now) but I have a question: so the going rate for your ethics
and reputation was, what?, 240 singularity keys? Was a villa
that important to you? My, my! You is a cheap Ho!

account and used my character to accept the delivery of the
sings. I only logged to go to work and in the screens unless
he didnt take a screen of that part. I said I would talk to
him later because I had to go to work. I don't care, if you
all don't believe me after being friends for so long... i
really don't want to be friends if this is the case.

evidence?!?!?! I haven't even been online in the past week. I
have been too busy working. I log on to find all this sh*t
happening and spend about 10 minutes trying to straighten
stuff out before I have to go to work. I am sorry if me having
to go to work/real life is more important to me than a game. I
have explained what happened, whether you choose to believe me
or not doesn't even matter to me anymore. Was fun while it
lasted. Myrva i still wubs yah... silly one. I think it is sad
that you all turn on me though, but afterall it is just a game
and I will have no problems getting over it hehe. Although, I
will miss the great friends I had here.

I am upset about this because i have
known you for 3+ years. but If i had a RL friend that took my
name and used it like he has used yours I would see about
changing that. Personally I am personally hurt more then
anything. This has hurt not just me and our friendship but it
has also hurt this monarchy. No matter the result. I would

cents on this, and it may not matter since I'm not in this
alleg and most here don't know me but here it is,
The
initial spark of this crap was Ebay and as far as I am
concerned, Ebay and AC should not go together for anything
period.
If there were no dealings on ebay about AC,
then there wouldn't be this mess, but people feel the need to
pimp out RL money for items in a computer generated game.
This isn't a flame towards you Shortie, it's just a
message to all about what I have seen and know. There are a
ton more things then just this case going on with ebay and AC
which severly degrades the
system.

Ok, first let me apologize again for bringing this here but
again I felt I had little recourse. I must also state that I
would not have bought this here before continuing
conversations with shortie, but my hotheaded friend who also
had this happen to him posted a thief alert on VN about it.
(against my wishes) So my hand was forced and I had to
post.
I must also apologize to Shortie for the blindside, I did
try and inform you that I had contacted your patron regarding
this matter but you logged before it got to you.
Here are all the screenshots that I have of what has taken
place. I will receive more from the various others
involved and post them here also. The only alterations in
these shots have been cropping and a general reduction in file
size. (due to the fact that i'm on 56k)

Here's another problem with this tale.
Say I bought some sing keys. 720 to be exact. 24 fit on a
keyring, that makes 30 keyrings. Will someone PLEASE lend me
their account so I can go pick them up. I can't seem to come
up with 30 EMPTY
SLOTS in my backpack, or any backpack! Out of
5 accounts.
Any takers?
Now, I'm a packrat, and my mules are full. But dang, I can
come up with 30 slots!
Sorry, but something is really fishy here.
Does your "friend" deserve such protection? As Myrva said,
character names would be a good thing to provide.

whole thing is so messy a corner wouldn't even touch it. Seems
people jumped to conclusions about shortie, how long was he
apart of us? 3yrs?! and some of us already calling him a
thief. come on people think with your heads. I don't know
shortie or Jenna at all but what I think should happen is this
instead of duking it out on the boards here find a time and
get together in game with a couple of bias people(different
Monarchys) and talk this out face to face. It really peeves me
that just after maybe 5min of being able to talk people
jumped. yes the evidence doesn't look good but it's a
game....argh I'll stop
