"The pages of our passports are stamped with the memories of a thousand places.  Each one holds a small piece of our lives.  But, there is only one
place that has captured our hearts.  It is on a beach in Watamu that our
past and our future came together in a moment of eternal inspiration.  This
beach, this place, this would be our home."

The words above are from the opening paragraph of our book titled "Our Journey to Watamu", the book we've been writing about our property - its history, how we acquired it and all the thoughts and memories associated with 34 years of family ownership. While we wish we could take credit for such writing, we can't. Instead the words belong to a dear friend who shares our passion for travel and our zest for life. To him we say "Asanta sana, rafaki" which when translated from Swahili to English means "thank you very much, friend".
