A Tribute in Honor of:
Joe Strummer
The first Clash track I ever heard was Janie Jones. It must have been 1978, I recorded the track off the radio and played it over and over. There was something about the raw enery in the music that appeled to me. I had heard of punk rock but had paid little attension to the shock seeking Sex Pistols. Johny Rotten was quoted as saying "All we want to do is destroy everything", but the Clash seemed to have something more constructive to say. The Clash changed my musical outlook and made me more politically aware.
Joe Strummer - The Clash
I was very sad to hear of Joes death just before Christmas. With all the foney pop idol rubbish that we have now and the current political climate we need guys like Joe.

I always think that when someone you admire and respect dies a little bit of yourself dies to.

Goodbye Joe, Peace and Best wishes to all that knew and loved you.

Neil.
