(Hollywood,
Ca)Ricardo Montalbán and Nosotros, a non-profit organization, present the first annual Nosotros American Latino Film Festival (NALFF). In 1970, Ricardo Montalbán set a goal "to improve the image of Latinos in the entertainment industry". His goal rises to a new level with the release of the Nosotros American Latino Film Festival. The NALFF debuts in the “Heart of Hollywood” at the newly opened Ricardo Montalbán Theatre. The theater is located at 1615 N. Vine St., Hollywood, Ca 90028 just north of Sunset Boulevard. Festival will take place on November 5th – 7th, 2004.
From Chicanos in East Los Angeles to Cubanos in Miami, American Latino filmmakers encompass a wide variety of Latino cultures. The goal of the festival is to provide an opportunity to display the artistic creativity by American Latinos. The NALFF will showcase various films that allow the artists to share their stories, experiences and traditions. The festival committee seeks to showcase films that speak to mainstream audience and the growing American Latino population.
The festival will host over 3,000 film goers over this exciting three-day event.
