Tony Lima grew up in La Puente, CA. At the age of five years old he started driving quarter midgets. He did this through age 12. He stopped racing to play baseball . Later he attended La Puente High School and played football, basketball and baseball. He hurt his knee his senior year playing basketball and was done with sports or so he thought. When he graduated high school, he was ready to drive a truck over the road. He started driving for the family business. He played in a mens softball league on the weekends and met his wife. So they moved to the next city over which was Hacienda Heights. They started a family four years later and had their first son Nicholas and later Angela. Eighteen years later his son wanted to race. So Tony and his son persued many racing Associations. The two finally found sprint as the one for them. Tony started his own trucking company, A.J. Lima Trucking Inc., in 1992. Thats where you'll find him, if he's not already at the races. |
