Updated on January 27, 2005

Synopsis:

Follow Nick Lawson's journey back in time through a disastrous marriage and mind-numbing technical television job and the brief moment of hope from an unexpected intimate encounter with Lori, an attractive co-worker. Although Nick moves on to a more fulfilling relationship and more rewarding job, he can never forget the "symphony" he and Lori never completed. When Lori unexpectedly reaches out to him from the depths of a crumbling marriage, he finds the alluring prospect of completing their masterpiece beyond temptation. How much is he willing to risk to bring their musical interlude to a close?

Set against the backdrop of television broadcasting over 20 years, Neil Allen's first novel explores the emotional landscape from the anger and alienation of a toxic marriage to the hope of an unexpected glimpse of happiness. He chronicles Nick's quest for sexual and emotional intimacy with candor and humor.
