A COMPACT, EASY TO REFER CALENDAR ON ‘RESUSCITATION OF NEWBORN AT BIRTH”

 

Background 

Movement of newborn resuscitation has been a breakthrough in history of neonatal health. The resuscitation guidelines were modified recently to incorporate the new scientific knowledge gathered in past couple of years. The authors have developed an easy wall calendar based on the latest guidelines-2000, which can be used as a bedside tool for ready reference.

 

About the Calendar 

This laminated calendar is of 15 X 20 inches size that can be hanged on the wall. It is designed in 4 colors for easy readability and comprehension. It provides a compact bedside tool for the ready reference. It depicts the flow chart of resuscitation, meconium guideline and various levels of neonatal care needed in different situations. It also provides details such as endotracheal tube size, tip to lip distance, what to do when there is no chest rise on bag and mask ventilation, indications and drug dosages, prematurity pointer and special consideration. It indicates the time limit for different interventions during newborn resuscitation.
