NIP (Namtog's IP) will let you send email with the IP info from
your computer. You can either run nip.exe and watch the email being
sent or run silent_nip.exe and it will run in the background. If you like
a link can be placed in your start up folder to send the email when you
boot your computer. Or add it to windows Scheduled Tasks and set it to
run as often as you like.
It's best if you do a install of Blat before you run NIP. This way your
login and password info is installed to the registry and not quite so easy
to find. For help installing Blat try
NBI. After you have installed Blat fill in
these two files for a "bare bones" test.
If you like and don't mind your login info stored in a plain text file
enter your server info in of.txt.
You can, of course, call nip.exe from any other script or application
that you would use to send your IP. Figuring out the correct configuration
is a project I will leave to the reader.
Here is the Blat Syntax File Online. There is a PDF version of it included
in the download courtesy of Craig Morrison. Or you can click on
Syntax_Blat.exe to read the version included with Blat. Syntax_Blat.exe
is the equivalent of running Blat -h from the command line.
The version of Blat included with NIP is v 2.50. It has been compressed with
UPX to save a little space.
You can download NIP (nip.zip) from;
Namtog
or
Yahoo
or
