Everyday, millions of people and organizations use the
internet to find information. Having a website is
so common, that most customers and the general public
expect an organization to have a website.
Small business and organizations are the main focus of
my web design. Most can not afford the high prices
more established design firms demand for their services,
therefore leaving them to little to no resources to get
there information out there.
HOW
I GOT STARTED:
Since 2005, I have been a volunteer web designer for
the
Sauk Valley Wrestling Club,
a non-profit youth wrestling program in Sterling,
Illinois.
The Sauk Valley Wrestling Club was established in
2004 and a local web design company donated their
services to help get the club on the web. I took
over the design and maintenance in 2005, after the
company requested a $3500 fee to continue with the
service.
Over the course of the 2006-2007 wrestling season, I
have been asked by many fellow wrestling clubs, if I
would design websites for them. I declined
these offers due to my dedication to the Sauk Valley
Wrestling Club.
Now
that the wrestling season is over, I have re-grouped,
researched, and decided to provide a service to those
who wish to get their organization out there for the
world to see.
