Salvatore Paratore Scholarship(Application in MS Word) (Application as .pdf file) The Salvatore A. Paratore Scholarship is available to all active members of the NRHS Bands and Choruses who are entering college MAJORING in music or a related field. The scholarship honors Mr. Paratore for his many years of service as the original NRHS Music Director. The following areas will be considered in awarding the scholarship: · Musicianship · Service to the school music program · Participation in extra activities or projects of the NRHS Friends of Music · Participation in non-school music activities (i.e., District or All-State participation, GBYSO, etc.) Sponsored by the NRHS Friends of Music, this $500 award will be paid directly to the student upon verification of enrollment in their second college semester. A statement from the college’s Registrar or a copy of the second semester bill should be sent to NRHS, Music Department, re: Salvatore Paratore Scholarship. |

The Ruth Amolette Scholarship(Application in MS Word) (Application as .pdf file) The Ruth Amolette Scholarship is available to all active members of Chorus. This includes members of Concert Choir, Mixed Chorus, Madrigal Choir, Jazz Choir, and Women’s Ensemble, who plan on attending a four-year college upon graduation from NRHS. THE STUDENT DOES NOT NEED TO BE A MUSIC MAJOR. The scholarship is awarded to an outstanding member of chorus who has shown unusual commitment to the Choral Program. The following areas will be considered in awarding the scholarship: · Musicianship · Service to the school choral program · Participation in non-school music activities (i.e., District or All-State Chorus, etc.) Sponsored by the NRHS Friends of Music, this $500 award will be paid directly to the student upon verification of enrollment in their second college semester.
