Chicago blow playoff seed for third time
(10-6-09) For the third time in three seasons the Chicago Cougars will miss the playoffs by a last minute loss or mistake. This season was no different as the Cougars lost to Atlanta who was a possible win. Atlanta took the victory, and with Washington winning as well, Chicago was out. Chicago has many questions to answer. Whats their new building direction of the squad, and what is Scott White's future if any?
Chicago passes on Torinelli for Bob Kelly
(5-8-09) Chicago didn't waste much time signing free agents, yet they were ones people didn't expect. Instead of their top young star Luigi Torinelli, they signed veteran Bobby Kelly, and also to replace Andre Svensson, they signed a cheaper option in David Cleary. Chicago is thankful Stewart Fullmer stayed this season, but they need to have a long term plan past him. |
