Fireweed
Epilobium angustifolium
Fireweed is one of the most widespread and beautiful of our wildflowers. It grows all over the northern hemisphere, wherever the terrain has been disturbed or burned over.
The young shoots of this plant are edible when cooked as a pot herb, or eaten raw in a salad.
