The Indonesian waters consist of a tremendous amount of hot spots that you'd certainly love to visit. Some of potential hotspots are listed below for your reference:
JAKARTA BAY
Jakarta is the capital city of Indonesia. Heading north from the sea shore, you'll find a group of small islands scattered around the bay known as Kepulauan Seribu (Thousand Islands). There are so many hotspots and coral reefs to mention here.
For more information, you may
contact us. The Biggest catch ever reported from the area is a 100 pounders Black Marlin. The Club recorded a 67 pounders Sailfish.

UJUNG KULON AREA
Ujung Kulon National Park is located in West Java. Perhaps one of the most convenience way to get to this destination is to drive to Carita Beach, roughly about 3 hours from Jakarta. From there you can rent a boat to Ujung Kulon. If you wish, you may stopped by to the infamous Mount Krakatau which located in the middle of the Sunda Strait or go straight to Southern Lampung (in Sumatra) across the strait. If you come during the right season, you may tag & release 400 pounder Billfish. Unfortunately we haven't get that luck yet, but those on the hotspots are very good fishing grounds. Please check the best location and time for fishing with Arimbi, Sjalina, Kemala Sari and many others. Or you may
contact us to get information of some economical rental boats.

MOUNT KRAKATAU
A unique location in the middle of Sunda strait. It's a little volcano pierce from the ocean. Krakatau could be reached from Anyer or Carita beach. Approximatelly 2 hours cruising on a speed boat and 3 and half hour on a slow diesel boat. There are three islands sorounding Anak Krakatau (Son of Krakatau) the active volcano. All of these islands seems to be parts of big Krakatau before the big eruption in 1883. That's why there are a few lagoons caused by the eruption. These lagoons was a home for Giant Trevally, Red Snapper, Grouper and many others reef fishes. Beside fishing, the scenes of Mount Krakatau also amazing.
MUARA BINUANGEN
Located in northern Java island, Muara Binuangen is a small fisherman village. So many anglers go there when fish season comes. Even with so many chartered boats found along the pier, you may find it hard to rent one during the season as most are already rented by fishing enthousiasts. You will be surprised to find so much fish with incredible sizes. That's why so many anglers get involved in the hustle and bustle of Muara Binuangen fish season. You may
contact us for more information.

PELABUHAN RATU

Next to Muara Binuangen you'll find Pelabuhan Ratu, another fisherman village, but bigger than Muara Binuangen. This place is famous among Indonesian anglers, there are even rumors about a 400 pounders Blue and Black Marlin. We've never been there, but we will someday. For more information you may visit
Arimbi , the Captain knows very well both Ujung Kulon and Pelabuhan Ratu.
UJUNG GENTENG
I'm not sure the distance from Jakarta. We've been there twice a few years ago. All I can remember is we have to pass Sukabumi city, West Java and go to Surade and Jampang Kulon. There was Giant Trevally, Tuna, etc. Also there was a location where turtles lays their eggs in Pangumbahan Beach. Also well-known for its wave for surfing. There were only little canoes with bamboo outrigger for rent and pushed by 15 HP outboard, while we fished there.

BATU KARAS

About one and a half hours form the gate of Pangandaran Beach, West Java. Again you'll meet GT, Narrow barred Mackerel, Tuna, etc. Before arriving to this spot you'll pass a beautiful river, Green Canyon. One of the potensial hotspot there called Legok Jawa. Rental boat there quite the same as Ujung Genteng.
The location that we mentioned above were well-known by many anglers in Java and most of the places have been visited by us. Also there are more places in Indonesia potential for big fishes below.
BALI ISLAND
We don't have to describe on this island, the potensial hotspot there, could be arranged on spot. Manjangan Island, Nusa Penida, and many others. Ask the travel agents there and get the best one. GT and Tuna are a common fish at Bali island hotspots.

MANADO BAY
Located in North Sulawesi, Manado bay was famous for it's Billfishes. An official Indonesian Fishing Federation (FORMASI) and Indonesian Navy, have organized Tag & Release Tournament for four times until 2002. Blue and Black Marlin above 400 lbs were hooked up few times. Arranging a fishing trip there, you may contact Novotel Manado or Marina Blue Banter.
Even this page only has a glimpse information of hotspots, we hope you get something. We'll collect more information of other places, and will be updated soon. Be sure to come back later.
