The Modern Navy
"Let the journey begin."
This is my salute, or lack thereof, to the US Navy. This is my photo album of all the good times I had right after I got discharged. See, there is a good side!!
These are the recruiters from the Sahara office. From left to right it's Chief Larry Ederon, MS1 Robert Harmon, me, AO1 Darren Galbiso, MC1 David Macias, and MM1 Fargo Hall. Taken 08/27/97
This is RJ (MS1) on his day off- singing in the
Multiple Sclerosis karaoke finals. He won 2nd
place, but he sings hella good. This song he
was doing was "Better Man, Better Off."
The fun starts here!!
These pics are from the DEP
trip to San Diego/Coronado, CA
on May 23rd, 1998.
This is GM1 Tony Lipinski
pumping gas at a stop
in Barstow, CA.
These were the people in my van.
Russell (nuke), Jevanni FitzGerald,
and Lorene Galici (GM).
My van called this the LL van- Lipinski Losers- only
because my ex was in it talking shit (he's not in the
pic). From l to r, it's Ben Helvin, Norman, Derek
Surber, and Manny.
This was the "cool" van- my recruiter, Darren, was driving these rowdy guys. All went to VoTech. From l to r: Elzy Martin, Troy Pollard, Ted (on ground), JR, Bonie Koulevongsa, and Cornell Blanche.
Now we're in San Diego!
These are 2 kinds of boats the Navy SEALs use.
They are called RHIB- Rigid Hull Inflatable Crafts.
The SEALs call this boat a MK V SOC- Mark 5
Special Operations Craft.
Here's Troy coming out of a
back hatch of the MK V SOC.

For your local navy recruiter, call 1-800-USA-NAVY. In Las Vegas, call the main office at 735-7099. They won't remember me now, but tell them I told you to call.
