Road & Track, "Point and Shoot Coupes," May 1998 This article compares the 1998 200SX SE-R, Acura Integra GS-R, and the Subaru Impreza 2.5RS. So what is your first reaction when you hear this? These cars are not in the same class. The 200SX SE-R is to be compared to the Integra LS/GS, Chevy Cavalier Z24, Ford Escort ZX2, and the Neon Coupe Highline. I do not know what R&T were thinking when they arranged this comparo. For one, the GS-R and the 2.5RS have 30 hp and 25 hp over the SE-R respectively. Moreover, the 2.5RS is an AWD car while the two others are FWD cars. The results were clear, two editors picked the GS-R and one picked the 2.5RS. No one picked the SE-R.
