| Materials for the tank shelf. The stringers are oak and the shelf is ACX 1/2 " ply. The stringers were screwed to the galley bulkhead and to the pilot berth support. The aft end of the shelf is supported by another oak stringer contoured to coform to the bottom of the locker. Shown below is the shelf dry fit. In order to make the shelf level I jacked up the axels on one side of the trailer until the till the heal guage in the cockpit read 0 degrees. To set the shelf I used a level and marked the stringers accordingly. Below you can see how comparitively easy it is to work on the locker with the partition out. |
