Corpus Christii were formed in 1998 by Nocturnus Horrendus (bass, guitar, vocals) and Ignis Nox (keyboards and programming), two ex-members of Noctu. They released the demo �Anno Domini� (still called Corpus Christi), and in 2000 So Die Music released their debut CD �Saeculum Domini�, that featured some very aggressive and fast Black Metal. When playing live they had Guardi�o as guitar player. Later that year, they released through Hiberica Records a split 7�EP with Decayed, �Decadentia Christii�. The band had some problems at this time that even interfered with some live presentations due to their alleged political views. In 2001, having signed with Hiberica, their second CD was released: �The Fire God�. It was followed in 2002 by �In League with Black Metal�. That same year Drakkar Records released their 7"EP 'Master Of...'. In 2003 their LP 'Tormented Belief' was released, and later also in CD and tape version, with one track less but with real drums played by Necromorbus of Funeral Mist. After the departure of Ignis Nox from the band, Necromorbus became a full member, together with LSK of Antaeus.
