The
Passing Out Parade
As 2005 is the year of
Women in War, the New City Players present The
Passing Out Parade - a play set in a time when women
from all over the country were conscripted into the
Services. The Passing Out Parade is about one service, the ATS, and the problems encountered in turning raw recruits into a disciplined team who will take war duties from soldiers to release them for the forthcoming invasion of Europe of June 1944. Despite the storyline,
there is plenty of comedy along with a host of well-known
wartime songs.
