The story of Robin Hood is part of English
legend. A person fighting against the wrongs of Prince
John and his henchmen, the Sheriff of Nottingham, the
wicked Sir Guy of Gisbourne and to a lesser extent the
church, in the form of the Abbot of Pendle who, unlike
Robin Hood, robs the poor to make himself richer. All
whilst King Richard is away fighting the Holy War. We see
Robin and his band surviving as best they can in Sherwood
Forest whilst they await his return to England.
