| CHAPTER 4 I slammed my pen down. �This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard of. I think that doctor needs to be in here, not work here.� I said. �Say it aint so. Miss Lexi with an attitude? Heaven forbid.� Dr. Smith said walking into my room. �I am not a damn writer, this is pointless. How is this supposed to help? I feel more pain than I feel better.� �It takes time Lexi.� Dr. Smith said. �This is what you feel, not what people heard. This is an add on to the truth from the inside source.� With that he walked out. And I was left to start again. The big day. So that is what everyone has said. �Sweet sixteen. If I hear that one more time I am going to throw a fit.� I said falling back onto the bed. �Well if it aint birthday girl. The big Sweet sixteen.� Nick said coming into my room. �ARGGGGGGGGGGGG NOOO not you too.� I screamed into the mattress. �I take it my angel is having a bad day?� Nick said laying down beside me. �If you only knew� I said rolling over onto his chest. This is what I did when I was stressed or upset. There is something about listening to Nicky�s heartbeat that makes me calm and relaxed. �You will be fine. Just go out and enjoy the party. The more fun you have the shorter it will be. Time will fly by.� Nick said getting up holding out his hand for me. �Fine� I said. As I had said the party sucked. I got stupid clothes that were from the 1920�s , CD�s , books. All which bored me. Nick bought me a ring. It was my birth stone. Which is a diamond for April. My dad saw it and thought it was for something else. The look on his face was classic. I am glad my mom videotaped. I was glad Nick was there. Chapter 5 Two years later... Well in two days I will be 18. Finally. I will be in Europe again with Nick. I am glad I get to spend my birthday with him and the guys. No family. Nick had talked my mom into letting me spend my birthday over there with him. He said it would be special to have my 18th birthday in a different country. Special is what he said. I was just glad that I was not home. No family. No stupid gifts. The guys had rented out this very fancy ballroom. It was a semi-formal event. This was something I had never expected them to do. A lady showed up at my door three hours before the party. Nick had bought me a evening gown. She did my hair, makeup and helped me into my dress. The dress was a baby blue long satin gown. There were tiny glittery rose blossoms that outlined the entire dress. I looked like Cinderella heading out to her ball. I am just glad there was a limo and not a pumpkin outside. That would have been pushing the whole fairy tale thing a bit to far. This ballroom was so beautiful. Chandlers lined the ceiling. Crystal figurines among the tables. Fine china set out to eat on. I was in awe. Nick and the guys went all out. There was a band up on the stage in the back of the room playing wonderful music. The night was wonderful. Then the surprise came. Nick got up on the stage. �I am glad everyone is here. As you all know tonight is my girlfriend Lexi�s birthday. I wanted to give her something special so I came up with this. Lexi can you come up here please� Nick said waving for me to come up onto the stage. �This is for you my Blossom� Nick said looking into my eyes. The music stopped and Nick stared into my eyes, � I love you Lexi Always and Forever�. �Oh Nick. I love you too.� I said wrapping my arms around his neck to bring him down to a passionate kiss. Everyone in the room cheered and clapped at us. I hid my head. I was embarrassed at the fact that I forgot they were here. �Lexi I have a surprise for you later.� Nick whispered in my ear.
