Let's not forget March 31, Easter. Please invite friends and family to the services. Easter is a time of renewal, I'm sure Bro. Tim will have a very special message for us. This is a wonderful opportunity to bring as many people as we can to church to hear God's word. Talk to your neighbors, people at your work, and even the clerk in the grocery store. Leave no one out!

Some people are very bossy and like to tell others what to do, but don't want to soil their own hands. They are called "Dic Taters." ====================================== Some people never seem motivated to participate, but are just content to watch while others do the work. They are called "Speck Taters." ====================================== Some people never do anything to help, but are gifted at finding fault with the way others do the work. They are called "Commen Taters." ====================================== Some people are always looking to cause problems by asking others to agree with them. It is too hot or too cold, too sour or too sweet. They are called "Agie Taters." ======================================= There are those who say they will help, but somehow just never get around to actually doing the promised help. They are called "Hezzie Taters." ====================================== Some people can put up a front and pretend to be someone they are not. They are called "Emma Taters." ====================================== Then there are those who love and do what they say they will. They are always prepared to stop whatever they are doing and lend a helping hand. They bring real sunshine into the lives of others. They are called "SWEET TATERS."

Well, if you missed Friday March 15th you really missed a blessing! The Hinkle Family were truly amazing. With no training on any kind of instruments, other than the father who was taught the accordian, they really showed the gift God has given each of them. From the smallest James, 11 yrs old standing next to that huge bass fiddle to Mr. Hinkle who gave us a short message, we enjoyed every bit. They sang songs we sing ourselves in services, played quite a mixture of instruments, and sang a song accapella. We have the opportunity to have them back again once more. But this time for several days!! Mark your calender for June 2 thru the 5th, that's Sunday thru Wednesday. Please try to attend one of these services, because you will be truly blessed by coming. Story has it the preacher was there till midnight, think he had a good time?
Joh and Jessica have made the trip to Houston to begin the process of getting Jon well. Please keep a prayer for them, they need all we can offer, and all of God's mercies, this will be a 3 or 4 month ordeal for them. He came down Sunday night after service to give his testimony. Little did he know that he sparked so many people to come give theirs, Bro. Bruce, Sister Nina, Bro. Kenneth, and Sister Jean all came down to thank God for His many many blessings. It was a touching site for us all.
Feb. 27, was a great service! Bro. Bill Marshall was in town and came to visit, little did he know he would be preaching. Without any outline, or notes he surely brought God's message to us. We always love to hear Bro. Marshall preach. Also visiting on Mar. 10 were Charles and Margaret Roberts, it was certainly a nice surprise to see them in church again. Special thanks go out to Bro. Art Kinsey for making the effort to bring Bro. Frankie and Sister Lillie to church. Sister Lilly looks to be feeling much better, keep them in your prayers as I'm sure you do, hopefully we will see them again soon.

There was a group of women in a Bible study on the book of Malachi. As they were studying chapter three, they came across verse three, which says: "He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver." This verse puzzled the women and they wondered what this statement meant about the character and nature of God. One of the women offered to find out about the process of refining silver and get back to the group at their next Bible study.
That week this woman called up a silversmith and made an appointment to watch him at work. She didn't mention anything about the reason for her interest in silver beyond her curiosity about the process of refining silver. As she watched the silversmith, he held a piece of silver over the fire and let it heat up. He explained that in refining silver, one needed to hold the silver in the middle of the fire where the flames were hottest as to burn away all the impurities. The woman thought about God holding us in such a hot spot - then she thought again about the verse, that he sits as a refiner and purifier of silver. She asked the silversmith if it was true that he had to sit there in front of the fire the whole time the silver was being refined. The man answered that yes, he not only had to sit there holding the silver, but he had to keep his eyes on the silver the entire time it was in the fire. If the silver were left even a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed. The woman was silent for a moment. Then she asked the silver smith, "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?" He smiled at her and answered, "Oh, that's easy-when I see my image in it."
If today you are feeling the heat of the fire, remember that you are in God's hand, He has His eye on you, and He will keep holding you and watching you until He sees His image in you.
