Army of Darkness:

Trivia:

The onscreen title is "Bruce Campbell Vs. The Army of Darkness."

The budget was $13,000,000.

There are two endings for this film. One where Ash ends up back home and working in S-Mart, and another where he sleeps too long and ends up in the 21st, apocalyptic, Century London.

The 1300 AD England was actually the Mojave Desert where the castle was built and where the KNB F/X Group did most of their work.

Linda is played by Bridget Fonda in this movie before her major starring roles in Hollywood.

The movie was the first Evil Dead movie to enter the UK uncut, unlike the original two movies which were released uncut in the UK in 2001.

The movie is incredibly rare in shops across the UK - the 1997 4-Front Video release with alternate ending is almost like gold dust to any horror fan in the UK.

After this movie, Bruce Campbell was to appear in a series of the hit sitcom, "Ellen." He played the part of her boss at the bookshop.

When Ash opens the trunk to his car, a copy of Fangoria can be found with the cover for Evil Dead 3 on the front.

The army of little Ash's in the windmill scene are in fact all actors bar one who is actually Bruce. The others are similar looking actors with fake chins!

The words Ash must speak to release the Book of the Dead is in fact the words used in "The Day The Earth Stood Still."

At the end of the film, Ash recounts his conquest in 1300 AD to his collegue, who is played by Ted Raimi.

The theme "March of the Dead" was composed by Danny "The Simpson's" Elfman.

Don and Charlie Campbell appear in the movie in cameos, in real life they are Bruce's father and brother respectively.

The car used in the film for Ash's transportation was actually Sam Raimi's real car and the contents of the trunk was actually what he had in there.

In the shot where the army of the dead advance on the castle, one of the advancing army is wearing a modern day t-shirt, this is Sam Raimi.

"Trapped in time.  Surrounded by Evil.  Low on gas."

"1 Man, 1 Million dead, The odds are just about even."

"They move. They breathe. They suck."

"Sound the trumpets, Raise the drawbridge, and drop the Oldsmobile."

"How can you destroy an army that's already dead?"
