JUNE  30     GET TOGETHER
   JULY 1        DINNER AT
SCARLET OAKS     JULY 2       MEMORIAL AND
                            LUNCH

The Host Committee for the Nitro High School class of 1956 cordially      invites  you to a celebration of the 50th Anniversary of their graduation to be    held Friday June 30, Saturday July 1,  and Sunday July 2, 2006
For the early arrivals Friday, there will be a "golf shooting"  hosted
by James Higginbotham and Stanley Young and/or a spouse/guest/ significant other luncheon at a place to be announced.
Officially, the festivities begin with a reception and social function (meet   and greet) with food and beverages at a place to be announced.
Saturday is your time to see whatever or whoever you want but do that
before dinner. Reservations have been made at Scarlet Oaks Country  Club.  AC was informed that Wellingtons of Scarlet Oaks is expecting us July 1. THE DATE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED.  When we get there, Colonel Kenneth Ingram (ret), President of the Class of 56 will be   the keynote speaker.
Sunday is a time for David and Eddie to led us in rememberances.
A Dutch treat Brunch will follow at a place to be announced.  Any other class
have at least two ministers?
The cost for the 50th celebration hasn't
been calculated and the "Unknown Donor" of
45th fame hasn't offered a repeat performance
(Can you believe this class kept   a secret that
long?)  The local committe   intensely desires to
have as many of our classmates as possible in
  attendance.
The " Anniversary Fund" has been started
and contributions are coming in.  The  fund
will be used for the expressed purpose of
defraying the expenses associated with the
Dinner.   YOU may contribute  to the fund.

ED, Note:  The mistakes that I didn't find on this page are my errors and were not intended to do any harm. Ideas for this web site  would also be  appreciated.  SEW
Sometimes you meet some nice people and in
requesting  permission to use the Shoney's Menu,
I met some really nice people .  I would like to express
appreciation to them for  allowing some memories
associated with Shoney's to be  a part of this web page.
(As a web page person, you get to do things
       like that!!)
So a very special thanks to Mr. Chris Nichols of
Shoney's  and  Ms Sally Morgan of their legal department
for permission  to use  the front of the menu.  SEW
      SHONEY'S     CONNECTION
Did you know that over 100 Shoney's were built by Mr. Ross Parker, who not only had the good sense to start a construction company and build all those Shoney's Resturants but  IT SHOULD  BE NOTED that he performed those wonders after his marriage to our own 56er.  Judie Graley Parker  (and Cary's MOM)
