Elmo tours a farm that the children can click on which animals to visit and to learn about.  Include animal sounds, cartoon pictures.  Young children will need it to be read to them.  Geared to preschool to kindergarten age children.

This page is a resource page that can be adapted for  3rd - 6th grade classes.  Children can research and design four different types of farms.  They will learn the different types of chores that each farm requires, as well as use a rubric page to self grade their work.

Cyberspace Farm is a great resource for teachers to use for information.  It includes a farm tour, animal and crop information, fun pages, fun facts.  Many of the pages are printable.  It is suitable for grades kindergarten through 3rd.

All about the Farm has detailed information pages for each farm animal with real photos.  There are printable worksheets and coloring sheets, clip art, crafts and a sound library with animal sounds as well as words and music to farm related songs.  The site is geared to kindergarten through 3rd grade, although there are pages included that are suitable for older students.

This site includes online activities taking the students through a farm tour with specific things to do or look for, real photos, sounds and printable worksheets. The basic information included is geared toward 2nd and 3rd grades, but the project is adaptable through 4th grade.

Owl and Mouse Educational Software

Owl and Mouse is free downloadable software to make a farm.  Pages are printable for students to create a farm.  They also offer software for making a  village, town and castle.  The site also includes software (most free) for teaching about maps, letters, phonics, and more.  Can be useful for teachers in any elementary grade.
