President’s Message On behalf of myself, the Directors, Associates, and members, we present the 136th Neustadt- Normanby-Carrick Agricultural Society Fall Fair prize listing. We strive to introduce new ideas for exhibitors each year, as well as entertaining features for fair-goers. Our 2006 theme is “Where Memories Are Made”. We thank all the volunteers, directors, and members for their time and help throughout the year and on fair days. We extend our appreciation to the many donors for their generous contributions to help support our fair. Come to the fair, view the many exhibits, meet your friends and neighbours, enjoy the food and entertainment. See you there! Marion Haack, President RULES AND REGULATIONS The following are the Rules and Regulations of the Neustadt-Normanby-Carrick-Agricultural Society. GENERAL RULES A. All exhibitors will be charged a membership fee of $4.00 payable on or before the day of the Fair. This will allow the person so paying, and any member of the same household to compete in respective classes. NOTE Membership fee does not include admission to the fair. B. All stock or articles for exhibition must be grown or produced by, and be the property of the person in whose name they are entered. C. The entry form must be forwarded to the secretary before judging takes place and all entry cards MUST have the name and number of the exhibitor or the prize money will be forfeited. D. Livestock exhibits will be judged at 12:30 p.m. on the second day of the Fair; fruits, vegetables and all other arena exhibits in the afternoon of the first day of the fair. E. All exhibits must remain on grounds or in arena until 4:30 p.m. on the second day of fair or exhibitor forfeits prize (unless the committee has given consent to do so). F. No animal or article shall be entitled to a prize unless considered by the judges as worthy of such. G. No person except committee members shall be allowed to converse with Judges before judging takes place or during the time they are inspecting the stock or articles; and any person who shall describe to the Judges any animal or article as being the property of any particular member or shall enter for exhibition anything that is NOT HIS/HER OWN PROPERTY, shall forfeit all privileges of the Society for the current year. H. Judge's decision will be final in all cases, and no protest will be considered. I. Exhibitors will have $4.00 deducted from the prize money for next year membership. There will not be a percentage deducted. J. The Society will take every precaution to avert accidents, but will not be held responsible for injury to persons or to any exhibitors and will not make good in case of theft or damaged exhibits. K. In the case of an error or omission in the printing of the prize list, the committee in charge, in consultation with the executive, has the power to rectify same. L. Exhibitor will be allowed no more than one entry in a section of any class in all exhibits. IN REGARD TO ARENA EXHIBITS - in addition to the GENERAL rules, the following apply: M. All entries must be produced by the exhibitor. Only new and up-to-date work will be honoured. N. "SPECIALS" will require a "Special" stamp in the arena exhibits. O. No mileage limit for exhibitors showing for "Specials" in all arena exhibits. P. All arena exhibits will be placed by the directors except flowers, vegetable or fruit collections and group exhibits, which will be placed with the aid of the directors. Q. All exhibits are to be on display in the arena by 12:00 noon **SHARP** on Friday, as the doors will be locked at that time so that the judging can start by 1:00 p.m. ATTENTION LIVESTOCK EXHIBITORS - in addition to the GENERAL rules, the following apply: R. All livestock for exhibition must be on the grounds by 11:00 o'clock on Saturday. S. The age of the animal will be reckoned from date of the show in the year in which they are produced. T. Milk cows must have had calves since the last exhibition. U. Bulls to be secured and all cattle must be tied. V. All prize money will be withheld if exhibitors fail to produce Registration Papers on livestock over one year of age. In case of bad or unfavorable weather or other reasons causing the receipts to fall short of paying expenses and all prizes in full after paying expenses, a proportionate deducted from such prizes to enable the Directors to balance the account without loss. The Directors feel that this course is the most equitable and fair that can be adopted, and any deductions will fall proportionately on all those participating in the amounts collected, and not leave the whole sum to be a debt to bear heavily on the Society and thus impair its usefulness.
