  The Lost:
  "Beauty is the source of sadness." This is an old say by many Cambodians. Unfortunately it came true for Piseth Pilika. On July 6th 1999, she was guned down by an unknown gunman while shopping at Oureusei Market in Phnom Penh. She was fatally wounded as the bullets shattered her spinal cord. In the hospital, as her remaining relatives gather around, all they could hear from her was the words, "Why, why did they do this to me?
 

I didn't do anything bad to anyone." On 6:30 am on the 13th of July she passed away leaving trails of tear and many unanswered questions. "My ultimate goal is to be the teacher of Khmer traditional dancing at Poumen University of Fine Arts. I wanted to contribute as much as I can to Khmer people especially the next generation. This is what I do best and this is what I love to do, " said Piseth Pilika. Now, all that remains are the works that she had done, her loveable image, her ashes that was left from the cremation ceremony, and the big lost that we all have to swallow.
