The Restoration of Grandad's Radio

Part 1: cleaning the cabinet
After carefully removing the dial cover and the knobs (which are made of celluliod - for folks as young as me, that's what they used before plastic), I cleaned the wood cabinet with Go-Jo hand cleaner.  Believe it or not it works great!  In case your wondering what the white ribbon is all about, this radio won third place in the Memphis Antique Radio Club Radio contest, new member category. (Check out the photos).  Not to shabby for a nearly 60 year old radio!
