Soap Opera Digest did a feature section on "Class Clowns" -- Nolan was the featured PC cast member. The quotes are from Nolan.

Clown of renown: Nolan North

A sense of his humor: "In high school, I was voted 'Most Humorous,'" notes North, "and 'Most Likely To Be The Next Johnny Carson' and 'Most Likely To Be On SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE.'"

Is it safe to say that you are the class clown of PORT CHARLES? "Class comedian, actually. I don't know who originally said it, but the class clown is the guy who runs naked down the football field during homecoming. The class comedian is the guy who got him to do it."

Do you know that you have a reputation on the set? "I didn't realize it until I started reading articles about my other castmates, and I'd find them talking about things I've done that have cracked them up. But I have noticed that whenever anyone has a joke, they seem to tell me first."

Do you ever play practical jokes on castmates? "I'm not really a prankster. I'm too afraid I'm going to get pranked on.

What kind of comedy do you enjoy? "I've always been a fan of Chevy Chase movies. Robin Williams is brilliant in whatever he does, dramatic or comedic. I'm very upset about SEINFELD going off the air. And I've always loved sketch comedy. I stuck by SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE -- even through the bad years."

Would you like a crack at more comedic roles? "Yes, I'd like to explore comedy. That's one of the things that I like about Chris. He has a sense of humor. I had an opportunity to play golf with Richard Kind during an ABC event in Florida, and he's just as funny and personable as he is on SPIN CITY [as Paul]. One of my goals is to do a guest spot on SPIN CITY. Since it's an ABC show, maybe I'll be able to."

How would Chris react to your humor? "Chris wouldn't take kindly to being the butt of a practical joke," North points out. "But he does have some of the best lines. He's in love with the writers. He really is."
