Fiber artist Nosha Namahoyta of Dayton showed her Afrikan artwork while at the Celebrate Summer Arts Festival on Saturday in downtown Marion.
A Dayton woman, Nosha Namahoyta, offered festival-goers fiber art with an African heritage, including garments, Yasah pillow dolls and hand-made jewelry. She was glad to be part of the festival.
"It gives me an opportunity to get exposure and meet and greet people, make friends," she said.

The Bryan Center is located at the corner of St. Rt. 68 and Dayton Street at the north end of Yellow Springs. From areas north of Yellow Springs, take the Route 68 south exit off Interstate 70 and go towards Yellow Springs. The Bryan Center is the two story, yellow brick building about 3 miles south of Young's Jersey Dairy on the right. From the areas south of Yellow Springs, take the Dayton-Yellow Springs Road exit off Interstate 675 towards Yellow Springs. The Bryan Center will be on the left about 9 miles from the exit. The parking lot is just past the Bike Trail.
Jewelry designer Nosha Namahoyta of Dayton, Ohio, said that even though festivals are at the mercy of Mother Nature, she doesn't let the weather frustrate her. This is the first time she has been a vendor at the festival and she hopes to return next year, she said.
"It was a good show up until the weather turned," she said. "I can't get mad, because this is my business."
