The Best of Music

Hello! Readers of NostalgiaSearch!

My customer Tony has recently become interested in old-time radio and now wants to start his own radio tape collection. He asked a number of questions regarding catalog sources, prices, ideas and suggestions on how to begin. In our discussion he stated he wanted a "mixed bag" of various shows--- here is some of what I recommended: George Burns and Gracie Allen{colorfully depicted here on this Home Page by the Main Menu}, The Shadow, Jack Benny, Life With Luigi, Tales of the Texas Rangers, Suspense, The Damon Runyon Theatre, The Whistler, Lights Out, The Mysterious Traveler, War of the Worlds, Richard Diamond-Private Detective---this is only the tip of the iceberg!!! I showed Tony my pages on this website on old-time radio and that just added to his enthusiasm. He was really astonished when I told him about "When Radio Was", hosted by Stan Freberg broadcast daily on syndicated radio stations across the nation. Here in Nashville {"Twangtown USA"} tune in to WAMB-AM 1160 Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. for an hour of the best in old-time radio listening. Check your local listings in your area for more. Radio fans, like Tony and yourself, can purchase old-time radio tapes and CD's by contacting:

NostalgiaSearch is eager to accept your research requests on vintage movies, old-time radio shows, early television and music of the Golden Age of Entertainment. Research material covers the 1920's to 1969, with facts on celebrities, and other related subjects of the bygone era.

Do you want information on Eleanor Powell, "The World's Greatest Tap Dancer"?Perhaps you are interested in Lucy and Ricky Ricardo? Do you know what famous magician created "The Shadow"? NostalgiaSearch knows--- why shouldn't you?

This webpage represents my years of gathering and investigating research data on the entertainment of yesteryear. These studies are conducted for companies, businesses, schools, historical societies, libraries and individuals interested in nostalgia. Is your music group wanting biographical information on Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey? Does your book group want facts on Nancy Drew and related series books by Edward Stratemeyer? Are you needing lecture material on Charlie Chan? Is your thesis on MGM musicals or Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers?

Then contact me by writing, telephone and E-mail regarding nostalgia research information and details. I do NOT cover current entertainment topics {no Julia Roberts here}. NostalgiaSearch deals most exclusively with icons such as Jean Harlow, Clark Gable, Hedy Lamarr and others of this first-rate calibre. Musical tastes run the melodic gamut in covering the 1930's, 1940's, 1950's, Doo-wop, and Rock and Roll to 1969.

More sites are being planned and prepared for future pages---so visit here often for more. In 1940 Roy Roger's wife Dale Evans hosted a radio show entitled "Let's Be Lazy". Don't YOU be lazy ---send your research requests on nostalgia TODAY!!!

Nostalgically,
