16 valve, displacement 1,596 cc (bore/stroke = 3.23/2.98"), power 102 hp @ 5,600 rpm,
torque 103 ft.-lb. @ 3,000 rpm; VAZ-11187 type, 1,700 cc; VAZ-11188 type, 1,800 cc). 5-speed
gearbox. Top speed: 112 mph. Acceleration 0 to 62 mph: 11.5 s. Measures: LxWxH =
12'7.6"x5'3.0"x4'11.1". Wheel base 8'1.2". Track front/rear
4'8.3"/4'7.5". Turning circle: 34 ft. Brakes: front - ventilated disks, rear -
drums, with hydraulic control. Curb weight: 1,969 lbs, full weight: 2,924 lbs. Trunk space
8.8 cu.-ft. Fuel tank: 13.2 gal. Tyres: 165/70R13 or 175/65R14.
There'll be a diesel version with new VAZ-3431 type motor. Inline 4, turbo, displacement:
1,770 cc, power: 75 hp.
The family will also consist of 4-door sedan VAZ-1118, minivan
VAZ-1120, coupe and cabrio.
