Cork Cellars
  Ambience:
Located in downtown Sisters, Cork Cellars Wine Bar and Bottle Shop has dedicated itself to providing their customers with a great wine experience. The shop has a rich and warm feel to it with walls in hues of red and beige. Old style tables and couches adorn the wine bar area. When we were there recently a group of ladies were gathered in the couch area enjoying a shared bottle of wine.

The wine shopping area is in a separate room affording more privacy for all. Complete with custom wine racks from Oregon Vineyard Selections the room is a wine lover's dream.

   The Scene:

Emily and her sister Martha have created an oasis for wine lovers in Sisters. With their fine fare menu and wines by the glass and some lovely jazz music playing in the background they have attracted a loyal and enthusiastic clientele.

In concert with Jen's Garden restaurant the two coordinate wine dinners on Wednesday nights at Jen's Garden and a subsequent wine tasting featuring the same winery on Thursday night at Cork Cellars. This gives everyone an opportunity to enjoy the winery's offerings with food extraordinaire and again in a more one on one wine tasting environment the following night. Great concept! These events fill up fast, so be sure to get on their mailing lists for upcoming events.

Cork Cellars has become a grand meeting and gathering place for those who want an intimate atmosphere to enjoy a glass of wine and food that includes bread, salads, olives, cheese or antipasti platters and grilled Panini sandwiches. To accompany their great selection of dessert wines, don't forget the daily decadent dessert special.

   The Wine

Don't forget to check out their collector's wine list with selections of library wines starting at just $35.00 up to $1,200 for a 3 liter bottle of Valdicava Madonna del Piano Reserva 1997.
